Library Director Search

As was announced in January of this year, Library Director Chris Nolan will be retiring at the end of 2016. The Ridgefield Library Board of Trustees has formed a Search Committee made up of Board members and other Library supporters and has hired Bradbury Associates, a nationally recognized search firm specializing in library executive searches, to assist us in the process. The Bradbury team will be visiting Ridgefield at the end of June to begin their work by meeting with staff, the full Library Board, the Search Committee and community stakeholders.

As a part of the process with Bradbury and Associates, the Search Committee has been holding information sessions with Ridgefield residents to gather their thoughts about the library in our community and what to look for in a new director. This collected data will become a part of the search process.

We anticipate that Bradbury and Associates will begin officially advertising the position in early summer. The Search Committee will hold first interviews in late summer/early fall with the intention of hiring a new Director to begin in January 2017. If you have any questions or would like
to provide input to the Search Committee feel free to contact us at RLBOD@ridgefieldlibrary.org.
