Children's Library Assistant P/T

The Ridgefield Library seeks an enthusiastic, team-oriented person to join our busy Children’s Services department. The successful candidate will work as part of a professional team providing outstanding customer service and support to our patrons.  Responsibilities include assisting patrons, creating promotional material and helping with various library projects and programs.  Other related work as assigned.

This is a year-round position working 19 hours per week.  Experience working with children, strong customer service and computer skills is essential. Some college required. Library experience desired.  Knowledge of children’s books and authors is a plus. Must be available to work afternoons, evenings and weekends.  Hourly wage starts at $16.

Teen Services Librarian (F/T)

TEEN SERVICES LIBRARIAN (F/T) sought for Ridgefield Library Adult Services department. We are looking for a dynamic, teen-savvy individual, with youth-focused collection development, reference, reader’s advisory and programming experience to work in our sunny, new Teen Center. Strong interpersonal and technology skills a must for outreach and partnerships, as well as running our 10 year old Teen Advisory Group. Duties also include adult reference and technology instruction. MLS required (or near completion).
