CHILDREN’S LIBRARIAN (F/T)

The Ridgefield Library seeks an enthusiastic Children’s Librarian to be part of a busy and responsive Children’s Services team serving a suburban town of 25,000 with strong focus on children and families. Duties include reference and readers advisory service to parents and children birth – grade 5; collection development; some programming responsibilities. Successful candidate will demonstrate strong customer service skills, experience with and enthusiasm for STEAM/Maker activities, and familiarity with literature for elementary school children. MLS or near completion of an accredited program required; public library experience preferred.  Full-time position (35 hrs/wk), including some evenings and weekends in rotation. New Library Director Named

We are pleased to announce that effective January 2, 2017, Brenda McKinley will become the new Director of the Ridgefield Library, succeeding Chris Nolan who is retiring December 31 after 16 years of service.  Brenda joins us after 20 years at the C.H.
