Hundreds of grateful family, friends, colleagues and community members gatehred at the Ridgefield Playhouse to roast and toast Chris Nolan on her upcoming retirement after 16 years of service.

15% of purchases by library cardholders donated by the store to the Ridgefield Library. Special bonus this year: participants received a special handmade bookmark in conjunction with an exhibit by artist Ruth Root at the Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum.

Thank you so much to everyone who made a Giving Day donation to the Ridgefield Library for a Maker Cart with supplies needed for 3D printing and many more technology projects throughout the Library. 57 people donated $3,005! Just enough to purchase our first fully equipped Maker Cart for the Library!

A crowd of Library supporters and trivia buffs filled the bar at Gallo Ristorante for an evening of fun and refreshment. All bar tips plus 10% of the night's liquor bill came to the Library, courtesy of Raffaele and the team at Gallo.

Downton Abbey Came to the Ridgefield Library!

Nearly 100 people, most in period costume, gathered in the elegantly outfitted Morris Memorial rooms at the Library for an evening of Mrs. Patmore's appetizers and Downton Abbey wine poured by Carson and his staff, series-themed parlour games, vintage photography sessions and all things Downton.

We're Moving Forward

Over 100 people enjoyed a last hurrah before we got ready to close the doors at our current location and move to temporary quarters during construction, with a festive evening to mark the occasion.  Libations...hors d'oeuvres...live and silent auctions of unique Library-themed items, with everyone's favorite auctioneer Ira Joe Fisher, brought in over $18,000 to support the ongoing operations of the Library.

More than 70 people temporarily forgot their storm-related woes with an evening of food and entertainment with a fun Italian flair! Singer/entertainer Steve Kazlauskas wowed the crowd with his renditions of Sinatra favorites. Proceeds supported the Library's annual operations.

David Gale Benefit Concert

Ridgefield native and violin virtuoso David Gale donated his time and talent to present a recital at South Salem Presbyterian Church to benefit the Library, where he was homeschooled while launching his musical career.
