Summer Reading

The Library’s annual Summer Reading program runs for six weeks after the school summer vacation begins. Each year there is a different theme for the program and children, teens and adults are all encouraged to read books and attend related programs. Thanks to generous local merchants there are many prizes and give-aways. Every year readers and Summer Reading volunteers make this program a huge success. Don’t miss the fun!

The 2010 Summer Reading program was a huge success with 1,485 people of all ages reading a total of 39,963 books in just 6 weeks! Thanks once again to the Friends of the Library for making the summer programs and events possible.

Be sure to check back in the spring to find out how you can take part in our 2011 Summer Reading program.
