Summer Reading @ the Library

June 23 - August 9, 2014

We have activities for children, teens and adults, so make Summer Reading a family affair!  You can record your reading from home, office or on the road, using our convenient online reading log software, and enjoy many great programs for all ages. The reading log software will be available closer to the start of Summer Reading.  Stay tuned! The Ridgefield Library

           Pre-School Summer Reading Program

New this year to The Ridgefield Library : our Pre-School Summer Reading Program for
children ages 2-5.  Visit the Children's Library starting June 23rd and pick up a
book log/activity sheet. When the log is completed, pre-schoolers earn a nursery rhyme
coloring book.

           Children's Summer Reading Program

                For kids going into Kindergarten through Grade 5. Read a book; have someone read a book to you;
                listen to an audiobook and then log your reading online! We'll reward you for all your hard work!

2014 Summer Reading Volunteers

The Ridgefield Library now uses an online system for people to log and report their progress during the Summer Reading Program. To help children create accounts and track their books, hand out prizes and encourage more reading, the Library will be looking for approximately 50 middle and high school volunteers, each of whom can make a significant time commitment (16 to 20 hours between June 23 and August 9, 2014). Applicants must complete this application, sign and return it to Geri Diorio at the Library or at by June 2.

For adults of all ages!

Share book suggestions and find out what others are reading. Read a book or listen to an audiobook, and enter the raffle for one of our weekly prizes. Attend a program or workshop and Discover... the Ridgefield Library!
