Summer Reading @ the Library: On Your Mark, Get Set...Read!

Another exciting and busy Summer Reading Program is in store for children, teens and adults this summer. Stop in to pick up the latest and greatest books and audiobooks. Don't forget to check out our online selection of audiobooks and eBooks with one click on our Digital Library Page.  If you haven't already tried Hoopla, take a look at these new audiobook, eBook, music and video selections, accessible through the Kids Mode portal that showcases content deemed suitable for children up to age 12. With our online selections you won't even have to worry about a late fee.

Programs for everyone and for every interest will be offered thoroughout the summer months.  On Your Mark, Get Set...Read!

You can record your reading from home, office or on the road, using our convenient online reading log software.

Summer Reading 2016 is now over. We had 1217 child, 374 teen and 173 adult participants, who together read a total of 40,117 books in print, digital or audio formats.  Thanks to all the readers,a nd to our great and generous sponsors!

 Pre-School Summer Reading Program

For children ages 2-5 and their parents.  Visit the Lodewick Children's Library starting June 13th and pick up an activity sheet. When the log is completed, return it to the Library for a cool reward. Find out more.



Children's Summer Reading Program

For children going into kindergarten through 5th grade. Read a book; have someone read a book to you; listen to an audiobook and then log your reading online! We'll reward you for all your hard work! Find out more.


Teen Summer Reading Program

For students going into grades 6 through 12; read stuff, get stuff, make stuff. Read books, listen to audiobooks, read magazines, read  comics, just read!  Track what you read and earn prizes and raffle tickets. We also have fun programs for you to attend. Find out more.


Adult Summer Reading Program

For adults of all ages!

Share book suggestions and find out what others are reading. Read a book or listen to an audiobook, and enter the raffle for one of our weekly prizes. Attend a program or workshop and explore heroes' stories!  Find out more.
